Siegfried Arno was born on December 27, 1895, and he was a German-Jewish actor. In as much as he made appearances in a lot of films, he is well-known for the roles he played in Pardon my Sarong and The Mummy’s Hand. The film titled The Palm Beach Story (1942) is one of such films that many people remember Siegfried Arno for.

Siegfried Arno used to be a stage comedian before he started focusing on films. It must be noted that while in Germany, Siegfried Arno was involved with 90 films but later in 1933, he left Germany.

This was due to the rise of Adolf Hitler. He subsequently worked in Europe till he moved to Hollywood in 1939. He made so many films while in Hollywood and on three occasions, he made appearances in Broadway. He was nominated for a Tony Award as Best Featured Actor in a play in 1958 with respect to the play titled Time Remembered.

Siegfried Arno first got married to Caroline Dahms but the marriage did not stand the test of time. They had a child together. He later married Barbara Kiranoff and that marriage also ended up in a divorce. His third and final marriage was with Kitty Mattern.

Some of the films to the credit of Siegfried Arno include The Wife of Forty Years (1925), Cock of the Roost (1925), Upstairs and Downstairs (1925), A Woman for 24 Hours (1925), Manon Lescaut (1926), The Third Squadron (1926), The Pride of the Company (1926), Circus Romanelli (1926), The Uncle from the Provinces (1926), Annemarie and Her Cavalryman (1926), We’ll Meet Again in the Heimat (1926), The Armoured Vault (1926) and Darling, Count the Cash (1926).

He died on August 17, 1975, due to Parkinson’s disease. He was 79 years old at the time he died.
