Markus Lanz can be described as an Italian-German television presenter, documentary filmmaker, photographer and podcaster. Markus Lanz was born on March 16, 1969, in Brunico, South Tyrol. He is currently 54 years old and has been hosting the talk show Markus Lanz on ZDF since 2008.
He has been on the Lanz & Precht podcast with Richard David Precht since 2021. Markus Lanz also presented the Saturday evening show Wetten, das…? between October 2012 and December 2014. He was born to Josef and Anna Lanz. He grew up with his two siblings; a brother and a sister.
Unfortunately, when Markus Lanz was fourteen years old, he lost his dad due to leukemia. His father was 52 years old when he died. With respect to education, Markus Lanz attended the classical high school at the Vinzentinum in Brixen from 1983 to 1984.
He lived in the student hostel at Neustift Monastery. In his teenage years, he teamed up with his brother Gotthard to form a music duo called the W5.Markus Lanz played the keyboard and piano. Markus Lanz was subsequently trained as a radio operator in the Italian army after he had graduated from Bruneck in 1988.

Markus Lanz’s Children. Who Are They?
Markus Lanz is said to have three children; a son and two daughters. He had his son with the presenter Birgit Schrowange.
The relationship between Markus Lanz and Birgit Schrowange only lasted from 1998 to 2006.
He got married to business economist Angela Gessmann in South Tyrol in 2011 and they had two daughters.
Their first daughter was born in 2014 and the second one was born in 2018.
