They even tried their hand at recording songs in Spanish; their hit song “Sarร  perchรฉ ti amo” quickly gained popularity in Mexico.

Despite never pursuing a solo career, Gatti left a lasting musical legacy with Ricchi e Poveri. He said goodbye to the band in 2016 and declared his musical retirement. But in 2020, the band came back together for a moving reunion to commemorate their 50th anniversary at the Sanremo Music Festival.
