Dem Radulescu could be described as a Romanian theater, film and television actor. He was also an academic; he was a Professor at the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, Romania.
It must be noted that Dem Radulescu was born in Ramnicu Valcea into a family of merchants. He had his education at the Nicolae Balcescu High School in Ramnicu Valcea.
Right after completing and graduating from Nicolae Balcescu High School, Dem Radulescu had to decide between having a professional career in sports specifically boxing or in acting.
He was also good at boxing as he was once awarded a Golden Star at an amateur boxing championship. Dem Radulescu won the first prize at a contest dedicated to young actors as he was able to interpret ‘ Steagurl pe turnuri(he played the bandit Rijikov).
Dem Radulescu’s acting career was given an urge when he was discovered by Sica Alexandrescu. Dem Radulescu befriended Ion Cojar and Livic Ciulei . He collaborated with Livic Ciulei in O Scrisoare pierduta.
He was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit, fourth class.
Dem Radulescu’s Death
Dem Radulescu died on September 17, 2000, in Bucharest. He is believed to have died as a result of a heart attack. Even before he died of a heart attack, he once had a stroke.
