Priscilla Ann Presley, born Priscilla Ann Wagner on May 24, 1945, is an American actress and businesswoman.
She is most known for her roles as co-founder and former chairperson of Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE), the corporation that turned Graceland into a well-liked tourist destination, and as the ex-wife of American singer Elvis Presley.
Ann, Priscilla’s mother, was just 19 years old when Priscilla was born in Brooklyn, New York. When Priscilla was just six months old, James Wagner, her biological father, perished in a plane accident.
Ann later wed Paul Beaulieu, a US Air Force officer, and Priscilla adopted the Beaulieu last name. Because of her stepfather’s military job, the family relocated a lot, making it difficult for Priscilla to make close friends.
Elvis Presley met Priscilla at a party in 1959 while he was serving in the military in Germany. They fell in love right away even though she was just 14 years old at the time. Priscilla kept in touch with Elvis by phone after he left Germany and eventually went to see him in America.
At the age of 17, Priscilla relocated to Memphis, Tennessee in March 1963 to live with Elvis in his renowned mansion, Graceland. She stayed in Memphis and concentrated on her connection with Elvis, despite her early plans to pursue a career in Hollywood.
On May 1st, 1967, Elvis and Priscilla were wed in Las Vegas. Lisa Marie Presley, their only child, was born on February 1st, 1968.
Despite the joy of becoming a mother, Priscilla’s marriage to Elvis was not without its difficulties. Their relationship suffered as a result of his hectic schedule and infidelity, and they eventually separated in 1972 and then divorced in 1973.
Priscilla continued to oversee the administration of Elvis Presley’s estate and guard his legacy even after their divorce.
