Kai Pflaume is a German television presenter and web video producer who was born on May 27, 1967, in Halle/Saale. He moved from Leuna to Leipzig with his parents in 1968 together with his brother, Ralph Pflaume.
He was the vice city champion of the city of Leipzig in table tennis when he was 14 years old. He had his education at the Max Klinger School in Leipzig and after completion, he did his basic military service with the National People’s Army in Rügen.
This was from 1985 to 1987 and subsequently, he enrolled at the Technical University of Magdeburgto study computer science.
Later in 1989, Kai Pflaume left the GDR and relocated to the Federal Republic of Germany via Budapest. He got trained as a securities trader in Frankfurt am Main. He became self-employed and also organized and moderated events.
