Karin Dor was a German actress who was born on February 22, 1938. Her role as Bond girl Helga Brandt in the James Bond film You Only Live Twice (1967) made her very popular and known to an international audience. Her role in the Alfred Hitchcock thriller Topaz (1969) also won her some lovers on the international scene.
Karin Dor was born in Wiesbaden and in 2008, her presence was felt in a Munich stage production, Man liebt nur dreimal (“You Only Love Thrice”). With the passage of time, Karin Dor got mainly involved with roles on stage even though she still appeared in some films.
Karin Dor Cause of Death
Karin Dor was knocked to the ground by a woman with a stroller. She sustained a 4-cm head wound that was stitched at the hospital. For a period of an hour, Karin Dor lost her memory.
Later on, she started experiencing headaches and was often tired. She experienced a relapse in January 2017 and later in March 2017, her health condition worsened.
She was sent to a care home where she died on November 6, 2017. She died at the age of 79. Her death can be attributed to her inability to recover fully from the effect of the injury she had.
Marriage
Karin Dor was married three times and her last marriage was with George Robotham. George Robotham was an American stunt director.
Karin Dor and George Robotham lived in Los Angeles and Munich. Before then, she had been married to Harald Reinl and they had a child in 1954.
Karin Dor was 16 years old when she got married to Harald Reinl.
