Yannick Lebherz’s Biography, Wikipedia
Yannick Lebherz is a former German swimmer who was born on January 13, 1989, in Darmstadt. He is noted to have swam for DSW 1912 Darmstadt for a long time but he made a move to Potsdamer SV beginning from March 2012. His swimming style is based on front crawl, layers and back.
Yannick Lebherz represented Germany at the 2012 Short Course World Championships in Istanbul. He won the bronze medal in the 4 x 200 meter freestyle. Two years later at the European Championship in Berlin, he won the gold medal in the 4 x200-meter freestyle.
It must be noted that Yannick Lebherz competed in the 200-meter backstroke and 400-meter medley at the 2010 European Short Course Championships in Eindhoven. He won the Gold and silver medals in the 200-meter backstroke and 400-meter medley respectively.
He served as a sports soldier and also studied Political Science and Journalism at the Free University of Berlin.
He was a member of the C national squad of the German Swimming Association(DSV). He was also part of the top team of the DSV beginning from 2007. He retired from competitive swimming in January 2019. His awards include Athlete Of the Year in Darmstadt in 2004, Newcomer of the Year in Hesse in 2007 and in 2011, he won the award for Athlete of the Year in Hesse.
