Wolfgang Wahl was a German actor and radio play speaker who was born on December 3, 1925. His father was the long-time director of the WDR predecessor, the NWDR ‘Sender Koln’, Wilhelm Wahl and an actress.
He wanted to work at sea but because of his wartime experiences as a cadet, he gave that ambition up. He discovered his talent as an actor and had training with Gustaf Grundgens in Dusseldorf in 1947.
Wolfgang Wahl stayed in Dusseldorf till 1951 and then he joined the Schauspielhaus Zurich and the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. He performed at the Munich Kammerspiele, Ruhrfestspiele Reckinghausen and at the Freie Volksbuhne Berlin.
He had talent in dramatic and comic subjects. Wolfgang Wahl can be said to have been involved in over 200 performances and even went on tours with the likes of Hildegard Knef.
Wolfgang Wahl played a role in the radio play titled So Far Your Feet Will Carry in 1956.
He played roles in several radio plays and he was also seen in literary adaptations such as Schachnovelle(1960) and Buddenbrooks(1959). He was also part of television crime series such as Sonderdezernat K1, The Inspector, Derrick, The Old One, A Case for Two, SOKO 5113, Tatort as well as The Men From K3.

He died on September 15, 2006. Strangely, his death was not noticed by the public. Due to illness, he was confined to a wheelchair before he died.
