Ashish Vidyarthi is an Indian actor who was born on June 19, 1965. His parents are Govind Vidyarthi and Reba Vidyarthi and he was born in Delhi.
Govind Vidyarthi hails from Rajasthan and Govind Vidyarthi hails from Kannur in Kerala. Govind Vidyarthi is also an expert in cataloging and archiving vanishing Performing Arts of India for the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
He was a member of the theatre group Act One, that was run by N. K. Sharma but prior to that, he attended National School of Drama until 1990.
Ashish Vidyarthi specializes in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Odia, Marathi and Bengali films. He is also well-known for the antagonist and character roles he plays in films.
He moved to Bombay (now Mumbai) in 1992 .Sardar was the first movie of Ashish Vidyarthi. Sardar was based on the life of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. His performance in Drohkaal helped him to win a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1995.
Ashish received the Star Screen Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role, for the 1996 film Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin. He has also received several awards including Filmfare Award South along with nominations for two Filmfare Awards.
With over 300 films to Ashish Vidyarthi’s credit , it is interesting to note that he has worked in 11 languages. Ashish Vidyarthi is the co-founder and curator of AVID MINER Conversations and he has a YouTube channel with over one million subscribers .

He has also been nominated for the following awards ; 1996: Filmfare Best Villain Award for Drohkaal, 1997: Filmfare Best Villain Award: Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin, 2012: SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role (Telugu): Ala Modalaindi and 2014: SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role (Kannada): Shivajinagara.

The first wife of Ashish Vidyarthi was Rajoshi Barua but they divorced.
After the divorce, Ashish Vidyarthi got married to Rupali Barua when he was 60 years old.
It is interesting to note that Rupali Barua was 50 years at the time of marrying Ashish Vidyarthi. Rupali Barua is an entrepreneur who hails from Assam’s beautiful city, Guwahati.
She works with NAMEG; handloom fashion store in Kolkata. Rupali Barua was previously married to a doctor, Mitam Barooah and they lived in England.
Rupali Barua started a clothing line called Reel and Weave with Mitam Barooah but after two years of operations, Reel and Weave was dissolved in November 2016.
