Valentin Lusin was born in Leningrad, Soviet Union, on February 22, 1987. He has made a name for himself in the dance industry by becoming a well-known Russian dancer and instructor for dance sports. His journey from his early years in Russia to the dance floors of Germany is evidence of his commitment, talent, and passion for the dance form.

Early Life and Career

Valentin Lusin moved from Russia to Düsseldorf, Germany, when he was seven years old, where he continued to pursue his love of dancing. Lusin entered the world of dance at the age of nine, and his formative years were characterized by collaborations that would influence his artistic trajectory.

He danced alongside Claudia Nandzik from September 1997 to August 2001, followed by a partnership with Olga Nesterova until June 2003. However, it was in the summer of 2003 that his career took a pivotal turn when he partnered with Renata Buschejewa in the TD Tanzsportclub Düsseldorf Rot-Weiss.

Valentin Lusin and Renata Buschejewa formed a formidable dance duo, becoming multiple national champions in the main groups S-Standard and S-Latin. When the two joined the German Dancing Sports Association in the fall of 2017, they became professionals. The high point of their competitive dancing career was achieved in October 2021 when they emerged victorious in the Professional Showdance Standard World Championship.

Valentin Lusin accepted coaching as a part of his skill set, even beyond his accomplishments in dancing. He assisted in the standard formation of the TD TSC Düsseldorf Rot-Weiß for two years, and from the summer of 2013 until the end of the 2015–16 season, he co-coached the A team of the TSZ Aachen/TD TSC Düsseldorf Rot–Weiß formation community with Oliver Seefeldt.

In the 2018/19 season, Lusin took on the role of coach for the standard formation of the Braunschweiger TSC alongside Rüdiger Knaack and Thomas Kitta. Additionally, he served as a coach for the standard tournament pairs at TD TSC Düsseldorf Rot-Weiss and TSC Schwarz-Gelb Aachen.
