Who Is Scott Frost?

Scott Andrew Frost was born on January 4, 1975, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He grew up in Wood River, Nebraska, where he attended Wood River High School from 1989 to 1993.

Frost was a gifted athlete who achieved success in both track and field and football throughout his high school years.

Frost recorded great stats while serving as Wood River High School’s starting quarterback. He ran for 4,278 yards and 72 touchdowns in addition to throwing for 6,859 yards and 67 scores through the air.

At Kansas State University and the University of Northern Iowa, where he was the linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator, Frost also had coaching jobs.

As the wide receivers coach at the University of Oregon, Frost joined the coaching staff in 2009. Along with offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich and head coach Chip Kelly, he helped the team succeed and make repeated BCS bowl berths.

Later, Frost was given a promotion to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, where he worked with Marcus Mariota, the winner of the Heisman Trophy.

Frost was appointed the University of Central Florida’s (UCF) head football coach in 2015. He swiftly revived the team, guiding the UCF Knights to a 13-0 record in 2017.

The group defeated the Auburn Tigers in the Peach Bowl and captured the American Athletic Conference title. UCF claimed a national title, but the university did not acknowledge it.

Frost rejoined his alma mater as the University of Nebraska’s head football coach in December 2017. However, he did not achieve the intended outcomes during his time at Nebraska. Three games into the 2022 season, Frost was fired because the squad had trouble winning.

Frost has a reputation for being devoted to the game of football and passionate about it. Despite difficulties and setbacks, he has persevered and remained dedicated to the sport.
