Ryan Bingham Biography
George Ryan Bingham is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and actor born on March 31, 1981 in Hobbs, New Mexico, USA. However, his family moved a few times and ended up in Houston where he attended high school at Westfield High School.
He was living with his mother by then who noticed the love Bingham had for guitars and music in general hence bought him his first guitar at the age of 16. However for some reasons, Bingham hardly played the guitar for almost a year.
He then decided to take it along with him when he went to join his father in Laredo, Texas. While in Laredo, Bingham learnt how to play “La Malaguena”, a classical Mariachi song. However, he had to move to Stephenville, Texas to attend college hence it happened to be the only song he learnt to play.
He attended Tarleton State University where he usually spent his time writing and learning music. His hit song “Southside Of Heaven” for example was written while at Tarleton State University.
Bingham then started playing in small bars and other local gigs. He continued to do that for some time until he signed his first record deal in 2007 with Lost Highway Records. That same year, he released his debut album “Mescalito” which was produced by Marc Ford.
The album was a success and received a number of positive reviews from the public including experts. He then followed it up with Roadhouse Sun in 2009 with the “Dead Horses” which was also an instant success.
Through that, Bingham won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media with the song “The Weary Kind”. That same some also won Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
He later left Lost Highway Records in 2012 to set up his own label known as Axster Bingham Records Label. His subsequent albums,Tomorrowland (2012), Fear and Saturday Night (2015) and American Love Song (2019), were all released under Axster Bingham Records Label.
Who Is Ryan Bingham Wife?
As at April 2023, Bingham has no wife. He was previously married to Anna Axster since 2009 but filed for divorce on June 29, 2021 bringing an end to their 12 years of marriage.
Axster holds a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Visual Production from London Metropolitan University and a MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School.
She is an entrepreneur and co-founder of a company called Lodestar Spirits. Axtster was the founder and the Talent Manager of Axster Co. before their divorce in 2021.
Bingham had so much love for his ex-wife wife that he decided to add her maiden name to his name so went by the name Ryan Axster Bingham. However, he immediately took it off after their divorce in 2021.
Is Ryan Bingham In A Relationship?
Yes. Bingham is currently in a relationship with actress Hassie Harrison.
The singer first made his current relationship public on April 13, 2023 after he shared a picture of him with Hassie kissing and hugging each other in front of a fire and captioned it “More than a spark.”
