For the role he played in the TV series Ally McBealt, he won a Golden Globe Award. However, due to his involvement with drugs and his drug charges, he was sacked from the TV series Ally McBealt in 2000 and 2001.

Some of the films Robert Downey Jr has been involved with include the 2003 film The Singing Detective, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Zodiac (2007) and Tropic Thunder (2008).
