Peter Christof Blomeyer has been serving in the capacity of Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Malaysia since the end of 2020. Peter Christof Blomeyer was born on January 17, 1959 and has been a German diplomat for quite some time.
In terms of education, Peter Christof Blomeyer is known to have attended the Albert-Ludwig University of Freiburg im Breisgau between 1982 and 1989. While at the university, he read Law, Economics and history. He earned his doctorate in 1996. It was in 1990 that he joined the foreign service.
In 1992 , he worked at the German embassy in Tokyo. He served at the foreign office in Bonn from 1995 to 1998 and he was the deputy head of the German embassy in Tirana from 1998 to 2001. It must be noted that between 2001 and 2004, Peter Christof Blomeyer occupied the position of deputy head of department of the German embassy in Riyadh until 2007.
He was appointed in 2007 as head of the immigration law department in Berlin. Emphasis needs to be placed on the fact that Peter Christof Blomeyer has occupied several positions as a diplomat.
Peter Christof Blomeyer became the Ambassador to Congo in August 2010 and has also served as Ambassador to Kosovo and Uganda. Later in 2017, Peter Christof Blomeyer became the head of the return management team after he had returned to the Foreign office. He was the consul general in Novosibirsk in December 2018.
