Norbert Dickel was born on November 27, 1961, and he is a former German footballer. He was born in Berghausen in Wittgensteiner Land and played a total of 123 Bundesliga games and some of the teams he played for were 1. FC Köln and Borussia Dortmund.
Norbert Dickel played for these two clubs between 1984 and 1990 and he was able to score 45 goals. Even before Norbert Dickel started his career as a professional football player, he served as a temporary soldier in the Bundeswehr in 1982 and that was after he had completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker.
He joined 1. FC Köln after leaving Sportfreunde Siegen where he played amateur football. Norbert Dickel signed to play for 1. FC Köln in 1984.
After ending his football career, Norbert Dickel took to the selling of drive drums for conveyor belt systems for one of BVB’s club sponsors. He also worked with Nike. He was also in charge of a kitchen studio with two partners.
It is worth noting that Norbert Dickel has been working in BVB’s event management since the 1992/93 season, as the stadium announcer.
Norbert Dickel is responsible for sponsors, finding sponsors and their retention in the marketing and sales department.
As part of his job, Norbert Dickel often travels as a representative of BVB. He was appointed as a successor to the BVB Council of Elders by a large majority. This was after the death of Aki Schmidt.

He won the UEFA Cup final IN 1986 with 1. FC Köln). Norbert Dickel also won the DFB Cup with Borussia Dortmund in 1989.

GOFUS has about 530 active and former football professionals and officials as members. GOFUS ensures the availability of football fields and playgrounds for secondary school students and also ensures that these fields and playgrounds are renovated. As of autumn 2016, GOFUS had built 128 football fields and playgrounds worth 10 million euros.
Other Information
Norbert Dickel was featured in the film titled “The 4 from the Gas Station” at the beginning of the 1990s and he played himself.
He also teamed up with Karel Gott to release a single in 1996. Norbert Dickel won bronze in the 1900 cc class and on April 30, 2012, he opened a currywurst fast food shop called “CurryFan” on Ostenhellweg in Dortmund.
However, after five years of operating “CurryFan”, he sold it off in May 2017.
