Morgan Samuelsson participated in the 1986 IIHF European U-18 Championship and won the silver medal with Sweden. He served as head coach for HC Sierre for the 2004 and 2005 Nationalalliga A Season but left in the year 2006. He also coached HC Bozen-Boizano and won the Coppa Italia with the team in 2009.

Regardless of the win, he was sacked the next season. In the 2007/2008 season, he was the coach of Djurgardens IF Hockey but later he took over from Karl Eloranta as coach of SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. Morgan Samuelsson also coached Akers Hockey.
