Morgan Samuelsson was born on April 6, 1968, and he was a Swedish ice hockey player and coach. While active, Morgan Samuelsson played as a center. He was the brother of Magnus Samuelsson who was a footballer.
Morgan Samuelsson was born in Boden. It must be noted that he started playing ice hockey at a local athletic club. He also played football, floorball and bandy till he was 15 years old.
When he turned 15, Morgan Samuelsson decided to concentrate and focus on ice hockey. He played his first game in 1983 in Hockeyettan and subsequently, he joined Lulea HF to play in the Swedish Hockey League. He played for Lulea for two seasons after which he left and joined AIK IF in the summer of 1992.

Morgan Samuelsson participated in the 1986 IIHF European U-18 Championship and won the silver medal with Sweden. He served as head coach for HC Sierre for the 2004 and 2005 Nationalalliga A Season but left in the year 2006. He also coached HC Bozen-Boizano and won the Coppa Italia with the team in 2009.
Regardless of the win, he was sacked the next season. In the 2007/2008 season, he was the coach of Djurgardens IF Hockey but later he took over from Karl Eloranta as coach of SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. Morgan Samuelsson also coached Akers Hockey.
