Lolo Ferrari’s Biography
Lolo Ferrari, born Ève Valois on February 9, 1963, was a French dancer, actress, and singer who gained worldwide recognition as “the woman with the largest breast implants in the world.”
Lolo was born in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and lived in the resort town of La Baule, where she had a turbulent upbringing.
Her father was not present, and Catherine Valois, her mother, had a poor connection with her. Lolo sought consolation as a teenager in modelling gigs, which provided her with a sense of validation and distraction from her turbulent home life.
Lolo married Éric Vigne, a former drug dealer 15 years her senior who had recently been released from jail, in 1988.
Lolo began a modelling career with her husband as her manager and also began working as a prostitute, with her husband acting as her pimp. Their outlandish lifestyle drew attention and reputation.
Lolo opted to undergo a series of plastic surgery procedures to improve her physical look after being encouraged by her spouse.
She endured a total of 22 breast enlargements beginning in 1990, earning her a position in the Guinness World Records. Her breasts weighed 2.8 kilogrammes and held three litres of saline. Lolo wore a specially designed brassiere to support her enormous breasts.
Lolo’s surgeries were the result of her profound discontent with life. In interviews, she expressed her anxiety and embarrassment, as well as her wish to modify her look and body.
She admitted that she wanted to die but that her physical alterations provided no relief.
With her new look, Lolo took on the stage moniker “Lolo Ferrari,” with “Lolo” being a French slang word for breasts and “Ferrari” being her surname.
She dabbled in adult film, appearing in a few pornographic films. Lolo also attempted to cash in on her newfound celebrity by launching a Ferrari Pants line and a Lolo Ferrari doll, which resulted in trademark infringement lawsuits with the Italian Ferrari vehicle corporation.
Lolo and her husband went to the Cannes Film Festival to market themselves in 1995. Photographers were drawn to Lolo’s voluptuous physique and larger-than-life personality, pushing her to international prominence.
At the event, she won the “European large breasts championship” and became a media fixture.
Lolo made an appearance in the Belgian film “Camping Cosmos,” which opened at the Cannes Film Festival in 1996 and received critical acclaim.
She also took advantage of her sudden celebrity by landing a regular role on the British television show “Eurotrash” and appearing on other European shows.
Lolo even attempted a music career, releasing many tracks that displayed her distinct style, which merged Euro disco and cabaret. Despite her efforts, her music was not commercially successful.
Lolo Ferrari was found dead in her house in Grasse, France, on March 5, 2000, at the age of 37. Her death was first deemed a suicide owing to an antidepressant and tranquillizer overdose.
However, questions and suspicions lingered about her death. Some thought that her husband was involved, but he was officially cleared of all wrongdoing in 2007.
