Lady Louise Windsor (born 8 November 2003) is the daughter of Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. Lady Louise Windsor was born on November 8, 2003, and she is also the youngest niece of King Charles III.
Lady Louise Windsor was born 8th in line to the British throne and is now 16th as of 2023. Interestingly, she was born prematurely at Frimley Park Hospital in Frimley, Surrey.
This was after her mother had been rushed to the hospital by ambulance from their home at Bagshot Park, Surrey. Lady Louise Windsor’s mother was then Countess of Wessex and her father was Prince Edward, then Earl of Wessex.
Due to placental abruption, she was born via emergency Caesarean section and through that she and her mother lost so much blood. Lady Louise Windsor was transferred to a neo-natal unit in St George’s Hospital, Tooting, London, as a precaution even though her mother was still at Frimley Park.
She was discharged on November 23, 2003, and then on November 27, 2003, Lady Louise Windsor was named. On April 24, 2004, she was baptized in the Private Chapel of Windsor Castle by David Conner, the Dean of Windsor and her godparents were Lady Sarah Chatto, Lord Ivar Mountbatten, Lady Alexandra Etherington, Francesca Schwarzenbach and Rupert Elliott.
She was born with esotropia and underwent surgery in 2006 but it was unsuccessful. Later in 2013, she had further treatment. She attended St George’s School, Windsor Castle as well as St Mary’s School Ascot and she read English, history, politics and drama as her A-Level subjects.
She also studied English at the University of St Andrews in September 2022.
