Jesse Duplantis is an American preacher from the Christian Evangelical Charismatic movement. He was born on July 9, 1949, and he is currently based in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S. Jesse Duplantis is also the founder of Jesse Duplantis Ministries.
More often than not, Jesse Duplantis is seen as a preacher of the prosperity gospel. He was a member of the Board of Regents of Oral Roberts University but he resigned in 2007.
He was awarded with a honorary doctorate of Divinity degree before he resigned. The main reason for his resignation was the fact that he could not serve effectively on the Board due to the demands of ministry.
It was reported that Jesse Duplantis had made known his intention of purchasing a Dassault Falcon 7X, valued at $54 million to his followers. This was in several
national media outlets in May 2018.
It is reported that Jesse Duplantis indicated that Jesse Duplantis Ministries had already paid for three private jets by 2006 and had been using them. He was confident about the claim that Jesus Christ wouldn’t be riding a donkey if he was in this world.
Later in 2016, Jesse Duplantis and a fellow televangelist, Kenneth Copeland defended their use of private jets. For them, commercial planes were full of “demons”.
