Jeremiah Green was known to be an American musician born on March 4, 1997. Jeremiah Green was a pivotal member of the indie rock band called Modest Mouse. As a matter of fact, he was a founding member and drummer of the band between 1993 and 2003.
He made a comeback to the band again in May 2004. Jeremiah Green was born in Oahu, Hawaii but he grew up in Moxee, Washington not far away from Yakima.
Jeremiah Green’s father was then in the Army but the family later relocated to the Seattle area in 1989. Unfortunately, Jeremiah Green’s father was an alcoholic who regularly abused him. He reconciled with Jeremiah Green after he had apologized.
Jeremiah Green had an elder brother called Adam. When Jeremiah was in his teenage, he decided to learn drumming but he didn’t get the necessary inspiration from his teacher. He was so much involved in the Seattle music scene and as such, he joined a band that performed at concerts in the evenings.
Over the years, he joined Tree People, Hammerbox , The Cure as well as the Gothic rock band. Jeremiah Green was greatly inspired by their 1982 album titled Pornography with an emphasis on drumming.
As part of the career of Jeremiah Green, he began going on tours and recording when he was in high school. Together with the likes of Isaac Brock and Eric Judy, they formed the band called Modest Mouse.
Some of the bands Jeremiah Green worked with include Satisfact, Red Stars Theory, Peeved, Vells as well as Psychic Emperor. In 2003, he quit Modest Mouse after suffering a nervous breakdown. Prior to the nervous breakdown, he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Due to the fact that Jeremiah Green left Modest Mouse, he could not participate in the band’s recording process of Good News for People Who Love Bad News, the band’s 2004 album.
Jeremiah Green Cause of Death
Jeremiah Green unfortunately died in Sequim, Washington on December 31, 2022. At the time of his death, he was 45 years old. Prior to his death, he was diagnosed with stage IV cancer.
Marriage Life
Jeremiah Green was married to Lauren. She was the owner of the store Thuja located in downtown Port Townsend, Washington. Jeremiah Green and Lauren had a son in 2016.
