Jason Momoa is an American actor who was born on August 1, 1979. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and his parents are Coni and Joseph Momoa. Joseph Momoa is a painter and Coni is a photographer.
Right after Jason Momoa was born, his parents divorced and due to that he and his mother had to relocate. They settled at Norwalk and he attended the Norwalk High School.
Before he graduated from Norwalk High School, he was a member of the school’s soccer team and Brandon Routh was his team-mate. With regard to higher education, Jason Momoa enrolled at the University of Hawaii.
While Jason Momoa was living and working in Honolulu, he auditioned for Baywatch Hawaii, a television series and he was cast as Jason Loane. This was from 1999 to 2001.
He has made appearances in the following: Johnson Family Vacation (2004), Stargate: Atlantis (2005–2009), The Game (2009), Conan the Barbarian (2011), and Game of Thrones. He wrote Road to Paloma (2014) together with writers Jonathan Hirschbein and Robert Homer Mollohan.
Road to Paloma (2014) was premiered at the 2014 edition of the Sarasota Film Festival. In March 2014, Jason Momoa was part of the dark comedy/thriller indie Sugar Mountain and Sundance TV drama series The Red Road (2014–2015).
As a matter of fact, Jason Momoa has been involved in so many productions and some of these are Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, Aquaman, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, Wolves, Debug as well as Braven.
Others are Frontier, Apple’s post-apocalyptic drama series See, Dune, and etc. Jason Momoa met his first fiancee, actress Simmone Jade Mackinnon when he was playing a role in Baywatch in 1999.
They got engaged in 2004 after being together for about six years. They could not marry as Momoa began a relationship with actress Lisa Bonet in 2005.
Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet got married in October 2017 and they had two children; Lola Iolani born in July 2007 and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha born in December 2008.
Momoa has numerous tattoos, including a halfsleeve on his left forearm, a tribute to his family god, or “aumakua”.
