Golineh Atai is a German television correspondent who was born on December 8, 1974. When Golineh Atai was just five years old, she moved to Germany from Iran with her parents.
She grew up in Hoffenheim. Golineh Atai attended the Wilhelmi-Gymnasium in Sinsheim and successfully graduated. She also studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg between 1993 and 2000.
She earned a master’s degree in Romance Studies, Political Science and Iranian Studies and later become a journalist.
Golineh Atai got some sort of training at Südwestrundfunk where she served as a television reporter at the Mainz location for reporting from Rhineland-Palatinate. She worked as a correspondent in Cairo for ARD between 2006 and 2008.
Golineh Atai also worked as an editor at ARD Morning magazine from 2010 to 2011. She also served as an editor and reporter at the Tagesschau for the WDR in Cologne from December 2011.
Golineh Atai moved to ZDF on January 1, 2022, and she was in charge of managing the studio in Cairo. She was at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where she worked as a correspondent for the ZDF sports studio.
