I rejected a bribe of $3 Million from an Indian Businessman – Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Ohene Ahyapong, Honorable Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency and aspiring flagbearer fotr the New Patriotic Party has recounted an experience where he rejected bribe form an Indian Businessman. 

On Good Evening Ghana yesterday with Political Journalist Paul Adom Otchere the Member of Parliament was asked if he was corrupt, he answered in the negative. That was when he shared his encounter with the businessman from India. 

According to Hon Kennedy Agyapong, the Businessman approached him to influence a project he wanted to establish in the country, the project was ideally supposed to cost $12 million but there were going to increase the amount to $15 million and give him $3 million. 

He rejected the offer from the businessman and asked them to go ahead and do the project with the right amount, that is the $12 million. When he was sked why he rejected the cash he explained that he cannot take $3 million at the expense of the jobless citizens and people without good drinking water in the country. 

That money in his view could have been used to solve a lot of Problems in the country.
