William Shakespeare was a renowned English playwright, poet and actor born in April 1564 to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. He is the first son of his parents and was an inspiration to his younger ones, especially Edmund.

Shakespeare is considered as the greatest writer in the English Language due his control over the English language and the many plays and poems he had written. His works are still being studied and reinterpreted in schools.

He got married at the age of 18 to Anne Hathaway and had three children together, including twins, Hamnet and Judith Shakespeare.

He died on April 23, 1616 at the age of 52 and has since been buried in the chancel of the Holy Trinity Church.

He died in 1612 thereabout without a wife but allegedly had a son.

Edmund Shakespeare was an English actor born in 1580 to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. He is also the youngest brother of William Shakespeare.

Edmund was inspired by his older brother, William Shakespeare and decided to pursue a career in acting. He acted in a number of plays written by Shakespeare.

Edmund died in December 1607 in London at the age of 27.

Who Was Joan Shakespeare? 

Joan Shakespeare was the younger sister of playwright and poet, William Shakespeare. She was born in April 1569 to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden.

Joan got married to William Hart who was a hatter and they had four children named William, Mary, Thomas and Michael.

She died in 1646 and is believed to be the only member of the Shakespeare’s family with known descendants to this day.
