H.P. Baxxter’s original name is Hans Peter Geerdes and he was born on March 16, 1964. H.P. Baxxter is a professional musician who is widely known as the lead vocalist of the German techno band Scooter.
H.P. Baxxter is also known to be an automotive enthusiast; he owns and collects many old British cars. He has used cars such as the 1961 Jaguar Mark 2 and a 1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 in his music videos.
He founded Scooter in 1993 with his friend, Rick J. Jordan in 1993. H.P. Baxxter completed a scholarship in Birmingham, England, as a mechanic but before then, he had studied accountancy for a short while in Hanover.
The music band, Celebrate the Nun was founded in 1985 and it is important to note that it was H.P .Baxxter together with Rick J. Jordan and his sister Britt Maxime that founded the band.
They released an album which had the single “Will You Be There”. The single reached Number 2 on the Autobahn Dance/Club Play chart on June 23, 1990, and another single titled “She’s a Secretary”/”Strange” reached No. 12 on Dance/Club Play chart on December 8, of the same year.
Alongside Guildo Horn, Jeanette Biedermann, Sylvia Kollek and Tobias Künzel, H.P. Baxxter was made a member of the German jury for Eurovision Song Contest 2009.
A year later, he was named the official German representative for the 2010 IIHF World Championship. He was also associated with the Season 3 of X Factor in his capacity as a judge.
Of importance is the fact that, in 1993, members of Celebrate the Nun left H.P. Baxxter.
They teamed up with H.P. Baxxter’s cousin, Orion (Ferris Bueller) to form a remix team known as The Loop.
H.P. Baxxter married his girlfriend Simone Mostert on May 6, 2006, but they divorced a day before The Stadium Techno Inferno.
