Karl-Günther Bechem, also known as Bernhard Nacke, was born on December 21, 1921, in Hagen, Germany. He was a German racing driver who briefly competed in the Formula One World Championship.

Bechem began his Formula One career in 1952, driving for the private BMW and AFM teams. He entered two Grand Prix races, both in Germany, but did not complete either.

Along with his participation in the World competition, he also competed in other Formula One races outside of the competition.

In 1954, Bechem opted to compete in the Carrera Panamericana in Mexico. During the race, he had a catastrophic accident. Despite fully recovering from his injuries, he chose to withdraw from racing.

Throughout his Formula One career, Bechem did not produce any noteworthy results. He did not get any points and did not appear on the podium. His greatest finish position was not noted.

After retiring from racing, Bechem led a peaceful life in Hagen. He died on May 3, 2011, at the age of 89.
