The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) 2022 graduates will be placed in Senior High Schools and Technical, Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) institutions nationwide, according to information provided by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
First-year students are expected to come to school on February 20 so that their admissions procedures can start, according to Dr. Eric Nkansah, Director General of the Ghana Education Service, who also briefed the media.
On Wednesday, February 15, the GES announced at a press conference in Accra that 538,399 candidates qualified to be placed in the various SHSs throughout the nation out of the 547,329 registered students.
Additionally, 372,780 candidates or 69.24% were put into various schools automatically.
The GES added that 165,601 candidates who were unable to be matched with the schools of their choice would have to self-place.
In order to register for classes and maybe get orientation before classes begin on February 27, 2023, students can report to their institutions starting February 20, 2023.
