Fabri Fibra was born on October 17, 1976, and he can be described as an Italian rapper. He is a successful artiste and he is known to have sold more than 2.3 million of certified copies of his works over the years.
He was born in Senigallia, Marche and developed the love for music when he was very young. It must be noted that he wrote his first song and performed it when he was 17 years old. He is reported to have recorded his first demo in 1995 and also created the tandem Uomini di Mare with DJ Lato, beatmaker and deejay.
Later in 1996, they produced the underground CD Dei del mare quest’el gruv. Fabri Fibrateamed up with Lato to produce and distribute the LP Sindrome di fine millennio (“End of Millennium Syndrome”), with collaborations from El Presidente (also known as Esa), Inoki, Joe Cassano and his brother Nesli.
Fabri Fibra in 2000 established his own record label, Teste Mobili Records (Bobbing Head Records).
He also worked with various Italian rap groups. In 2013, he campaigned for Adidas Originals, reinterpreting the song of the Run DMC and DJ A-Trak. Over the years, Fabri Fibra has worked on some albums and some are 2002 – Turbe giovanili, 2004 – Mr. Simpatia, 2006 – Tradimento, 2007 – Bugiardo, 2009 – Chi vuole essere Fabri Fibra?, 2010 – Controcultura, 2013 – Guerra e Pace, 2017 – Fenomeno and 2022 – Caos.
His EPs also include 2006 – Pensieri scomodi, 2010 – Quorum, 2011 – Venerdì 17, 2012 – Casus belli EP, 2013 – Rima dopo rima, 2017 – Masterchef EP and 2019 – Outtakes. He has numerous singles as well.
At the MTV Europe Music Awards, Fabri Fibra has had the following nominations; 2008: Nomination for “Best Italian Act”, 2011: Nomination for “Best Italian Act and 2017: Nomination for “Best Italian Act”.
Other nominations and awards include 2014: A Nomination for his album “Guerra e Pace” “Best International Album” for World Music Awards, 2012: Nomination for “Best Video” for his 2 singles “L’italiano balla” and “La Luce feat. Clementino for MTV Italian Hip Hop Awards, 2011: “Platinum disc” for his album Controcultura, Awards “Digital song” for his 2 singles “Tranne te” and “Vip in trip” and 2016: “Special Award for 10 Years” of his album Tradimento for Wind Music Awards.
Others nominations and awards to the credit of Fabri Fibra also include 2017: “MTV Rap Icon” for TIM MTV Awards, and 2011: “Superman Award” for TRL Awards.
