David Miscavige was born on April 30, 1960, and he is the second and current leader of the Church of Scientology. He is also referred to as the Chairman of the Board of the Religious Technology Center (RTC). The Religious Technology Center (RTC) is in charge of the trademarks and copyrights of Dianetics and Scientology. Others refer to David Miscavige as “DM”, “C.O.B.” or “Captain of the Sea Org”.
David Miscavige was the second in command behind the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard when he was a teenager. It must be noted that David Miscavige joined the Sea Org and later became a member of the Commodore’s Messenger Organization, a group within the Sea Org that carried Hubbard’s orders to subordinates.
In the 1980s, he became a leader and in 1987, he was named “Chairman of the Board” of RTC. David Miscavige is seen as “the ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion”. While in office, David Miscavige has been accused of human trafficking, child abuse, slavery, forced separation of family members, coercive fundraising practices, harassment of journalists and Scientology critics, and emotional and physical abuse of subordinates.
He has denied all of these accusations. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has also investigated him due to allegations of criminal activities within the Scientology organization and he is involved in a lot of lawsuits. In April 2022, a lawsuit was filed against him for repeated sexual assault of children by senior Scientology executives in the Sea Org during Miscavige’s leadership.

He was born in Bristol Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia and his parents are Ronald Thomas “Ron” Miscavige Sr. and Loretta Gidaro. David Miscavige has a twin sister and they both grew up in Willingboro Township, New Jersey.
When he was a child, he played basketball and football. He also suffered from asthma and severe allergies. It must be noted that Ronald Thomas “Ron” Miscavige Sr. who was a trumpeter, developed a passion for Scientology.
He was the one who made David Miscavige see a Scientologist. After seeing a Scientologist, the ailments of David Miscavige were healed.
David Miscavige is married to fellow Sea Org member Michele Diane “Shelly” Miscavige. She has not been seen in public since August 2007.
