Conan Gray was born on December 5, 1998, and he can be described as an American singer and songwriter. Conan Gray was born in Lemon Grove, California. His parents are Mr. And Mrs. Gray.
His father was of Irish ancestry and his mother was a Japanese. As a child, Conan Gray moved to Hiroshima, Japan with his family but after two years, they moved back to California.
The parents of Conan Gray divorced when he was three years old and he details his experiences in the video titled “Draw My Life”. Conan Gray finally settled in Georgetown, Texas and his location had a bearing on his art and music.
He got a UCLA scholarship and as a result, moved to Los Angeles, California, in September 2017.
He dropped off from school two months afterwards when he signed a deal with Republic Records in 2018.
Conan Gray began upload of his original songs, vlogs and covers on YouTube when he was still in his teens. While with Republic Records, Conan Gray Sunset Season (2018), his debut EP.
His debut studio album was Kid Krow (2020) and based on hit songs such as “Maniac” and “Heather”, the album debuted at number five on the U.S. Billboard 200, making it the biggest U.S. artist debut of the year.
Superache (2022) was his second studio album and the album did so well in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland as well as the Netherlands.
In 2019, Conan Gray won the Best YouTube Musician at the Shorty Awards and got nominated as Breakthrough Artist at Streamy Awards.
In 2020, Conan Gray was also nominated for Best Push Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards and for the MTV Video Music Awards, he got nominated as Push Artist of the Year. He got nominated for Best New Artist of 2020 and Best New Artist at People’s Choice Awards(2020) and Gold Derby Music Awards (2021) respectively.
Some of the tours he has headlined include Sunset Shows (2018–19), Comfort Crowd Tour (2019). Conan Gray World Tour 2022 and Superache Tour (2022–23).
