Vinesthy Catering Institute was established by Mrs Esther Akosua Setsoafia on the 14th November 1992, in Burma Villas, Burma Camp in a Garage.

The objective of setting up the school was to train young women in practical cookery for their kitchen. It was reformed to equip and train young women in the hospitality industry.
