Boris Meyn was born in 1961 and he was a German crime writer and art historian. He had his education at the University of Hamburg.
He completed in 1989 with his master’s thesis Paul Seitz – studies on public construction, especially school construction in the 1950s and 1960s in Hamburg.
He furthered his education and offered doctoral studies in art and architectural history in 1996. He also completed those studies with The development history of Hamburg school buildings as his thesis.

Boris Meyn died at the age of 61. The cause of his death is not readily known.
His first novel, titled “The Dead Man in the Fleet” was published in 2000 and it became very successful. It became a bestseller and opened the doors for a series of historical crime novels.
