Bruce Low was born on March 26, 1913, and was a Dutch pop and gospel singer and actor. While growing up, Bruce Low spent his childhood days with his three sisters in South America.
His parents were Hermann Moritz Bielke and Lydia née Reusch. Hermann Moritz Bielke lived between 1881 and 1955 and worked as a missionary for the Moravian Church in Suriname. Lydia née Reusch lived between 1887 and 1956 and was born in Hong Kong.
Concerning education, Bruce Low attended a school in the Netherlands and was a member of the school; playing tenor saxophone. He was also a member of the church choir. He graduated from High School in 1932 and furthered his education at the German University for Physical Exercise in Berlin.
He studied Sports at the university but he stopped training in sports to become a sports teacher after injuring himself while doing trampoline gymnastics. Bruce Low switched from sports to singing and had singing teacher Jacques Stückgold training him.
Bruce Low performed a show of African folk songs in Vienna in 1949. He stayed in Vienna for about a month and made some money with English songs.
The sonorous bass voice of Bruce Low was used in western-style cowboy songs and his breakthrough and success as a singer was given a boost by the song titled There’s a Horse Halter on the Wall. There’s a Horse Halter on the Wall was a cover version of Carson Robison’s song There’s a Bridle Hangin’ on the Wall.
Before the end of the career of Bruce Low, he tried his hands at rock ‘n’ roll. He got into the writing of articles for Jasmin magazine under the pseudonym Thomas Gallagher.
In THE 1970s, the need for Bruce Low arose and he took to the interpretation of new and partly traditional gospels. Later in 1976, Bruce Low took part in Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson and he placed ninth out of twelve contestants..
Bruce Low Cause of Death
After a long period of suffering, Bruce Low died at the age of 76. He died in a hospital in Munich.
