Wolfgang Volz was born on January 17, 1948, and he was a German photographer. He became quite popular when he collaborated with the artist couple, Christo and Jeanne-Claude.
Even though he was born in Tuttilingen, he moved to Ravensburg with his parents. He had his education at the Folkwangschule in Essen till 1974. After school, Wolfgang Volz started working as a freelance photographer.
He also served as a technical manager on major projects for Christo and Jeanne-Claude.

Some of the awards of Wolfgang Volz include the German Youth Photography Prize 1969–1972, the 1978 German Business Photo Prize the and 1996 Infinity Award for Applied Photography.
