George Michael was born on June 25, 1963, and he can be described as an English singer-songwriter and record producer. He was born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou in East Finchley. His parents are Kyriacos “Jack” Panayiotou and Lesley Angold.
Kyriacos “Jack” Panayiotou was a Greek-Cypriot restaurateur and Lesley Angold was an English dancer. The childhood days of George Michael were spent in Kingsbury, London. He had his education at Roe Green Junior School and Kingsbury High School.
George Michael had two siblings; Yioda (born 1958) and Melanie (1960–2019). George Michael once indicated that he had an interest in music at age 8 after he had sustained an injury to his head .

His life was characterized by drug use, and legal troubles that made headlines following an arrest for public lewdness in 1998 and multiple drug-related offenses. He fell into a coma in 2011 during a bout with pneumonia.

George Michael died on Christmas Day in 2016 and it was reported that he died at his home in Goring-on-Thames, at the age of 53.
His death was attributed to dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and a fatty liver. by a senior coroner in Oxfordshire. It was also said that he died of heart disease. The funeral of George Michael was held on March 29, 2017

Some of the awards won by George Michael include three Brit Awards—winning Best British Male Artist twice, four MTV Video Music Awards, six Ivor Novello Awards, three American Music Awards and two Grammy Awards from eight nominations.
George Michael made it to the list of the “Greatest Hot 100 Artists of All Time” in the 45th position.
He was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2023 and got picked as an inductee to the 2023 class alongside Kate Bush, Willie Nelson, The Spinners, Missy Elliott and Rage Against the Machine on May 3, 2023.
