He left behind a legacy of inspiration, motivating others to pursue their fitness goals and embrace the aesthetics of bodybuilding.

Who Was Zyzz?

Aziz Sergeyevich Shavershian, better known as Zyzz, was a Russian-born Australian bodybuilder, personal trainer, and model.

He rose to prominence and cult status through his YouTube videos, which he began posting in 2007. Despite his brief life, Zyzz left an indelible mark on the fitness industry and his admirers.

Zyzz was born in Moscow on March 24, 1989, to Kurdish parents from Armenia’s Kurdish minority. Maiane Iboian, his mother, worked in cardiology, and Sergei Shavershian supported the family. Said, Zyzz’s older brother, is also known as “Chestbrah.” Zyzz and his family relocated to Australia in 1993, where he was raised in Eastwood, New South Wales.

Zyzz was a tiny boy growing up, but his bodybuilding brother inspired him to seek fitness. He joined a local gym after finishing high school and immersed himself in nutrition and exercise. Zyzz spent three to four hours a day at the gym, improving his physique, with unflinching dedication.

Zyzz’s motivation for bodybuilding began with a desire to impress girls. However, as he continued to train, his objectives shifted.

He found happiness in creating goals and exceeding them, continually pushing himself to new heights. Zyzz became the face of Australia’s “aesthetics” amateur bodybuilding subculture, and he launched his own protein label, Protein of the Gods.

He also had a clothing company and wrote Zyzz’s Bodybuilding Bible, which was a compendium of his training skills.

Zyzz’s meteoric ascension was not without controversy. Said, his brother, was detained in July 2011 for illegally possessing anabolic steroids. Zyzz denied using drugs and credited his figure to hard work and a tight diet. His link with the steroid scandal, on the other hand, drew media attention.

The tragic demise of Zyzz shocked his admirers and the fitness community. His legacy is carried on by his brother, who released a tribute film named Zyzz – The Legacy, which has received millions of views on YouTube. Fans continue to make tribute videos to Zyzz in order to keep his legacy alive.

Zyzz’s relatives stated that he had mild symptoms prior to his death, such as elevated blood pressure and occasional shortness of breath.

Zyzz dabbled in various interests in addition to bodybuilding. He appeared as an extra in the television series Underbelly: The Golden Mile and acted in the documentary series The National Road Trip as himself.
