Birthe Wolter is an actress from Germany, who was born on October 4, 1981, in Cologne. Through a variety of roles and in-depth training, Wolter has made a name for herself as a skilled and adaptable actor.

Early Life and Education

Mechernich-Strempt, located in the scenic Eifel area, was Birthe Wolter’s childhood home. Her enthusiasm for performing sparked her pursuit of official training at the beginning of her career. At Munich’s Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding, she studied acting from 2002 to 2006. Her subsequent triumphs were made possible by this time of intense preparation.

After finishing her studies in acting, Wolter entered the theater and began playing leading parts on well-known stages. She distinguished herself in performances at the Karlsruhe Kammertheater, Munich’s Metropoltheater, and Munich’s Residenztheater.

Birthe Wolter made a lasting impression in well-known crime series like “Tatort” (Crime Scene), flitting between starring and supporting parts with ease. With her portrayal of Laura Heller in the RTL series “Schoolgirls,” her already prominent television presence reached new heights. She demonstrated her acting prowess and attracted a lot of media attention with her performance.

Alongside fellow actress Simone Hanselmann, Wolter maintained her reputation on the small screen by appearing in the ProSieben series “Everything but Sex.” Fans were captivated by her on-screen chemistry with Hanselmann even after the series was abruptly canceled.

Wolter demonstrated her ability in both written and improvised comedy by appearing regularly as a guest on the television program “Schillerstrasse” from 2009 until February 2011.

Birthe Wolter joined Berlin’s Die Wühlmäuse cabaret group in 2017, embracing a new creative challenge. Established in the same year, the group gave Wolter a stage on which to develop her humorous skills and interact with live audiences. Her participation in the cabaret scene proved that she could hold the attention of an audience both live and on TV.

Wolter’s move into cabaret demonstrated her determination to push creative limits and explore other aspects of her gift, even after Die Wühlmäuse disbanded in 2020.
