Who Is Senna Gammour?
Senna Gammour, born on December 28, 1979, is a prominent German singer, television personality, and presenter.
As a member of the well-known girl group Monrose, she rose to stardom.
Gammour was born and reared in Frankfurt, Germany, by Moroccan and Algerian parents. She grew up in Frankfurt-Nordweststadt, a city, where hip-hop music and culture captured her attention.
She worked as a waitress and pursued a commercial education in the wholesale and export trades in addition to her passion for music.
Gammour tried out for the television programme Popstars – Das Duell in 2003, however, he was disqualified at the callback. She didn’t give up on her aspirations, though, and in 2006 she went on another audition, this time for Popstars – Neue Engel braucht das Land.
She persisted through the competition, and it paid off since she got it through and joined the female group Monrose. With two number-one singles on the German Singles Charts and seven top 10 hits, the trio enjoyed phenomenal success.
In addition to her work with Monrose, Gammour also made the 2007 song “Kein schöner Land” with German artist Dieter Falk.
She appeared on the 2008 song “Melodie” by German rapper Kool Savas. Gammour was inspired to learn more about the television industry by her talent and charisma.
She and Oliver Petszokat started co-hosting the German version of The Singing Bee in 2008, and they did so until the beginning of 2009. She also participated in Mascerade, a German talent competition, as a judge.
After Monrose announced their breakup in 2010, Gammour turned her attention to a career as a television host. She and Lutz van der Horst co-hosted Deal with Its German counterpart, Iss or Quiz, from 2011 to 2012.
Gammour kept making appearances on several TV programmes, such as Promi Shopping Queen, Wild Girls – Auf High Heels through Africa, Grill den Hessler, and Genial daneben – Das Quiz.
The “Liebeskummer ist ein Arschloch!” comedy tour that Gammour launched in 2017 was a big hit. She then performed “No More Fuckboys!” as her second show and toured throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
She also released a number of singles at this time, including “Fuckboy,” “Anders Real,” and “Wahnsinnig.”
Gammour has dabbled with writing and publishing as well. In 2019 and 2020, she published two books: “In dein Gesicht – Erfolg ist die beste Rache!” in 2019 and “Liebeskummer ist ein Arschloch – Nie wieder Fuckboys” in 2020.
Gammour has garnered numerous honours and nominations during the course of her career. She won the Spitzenfeder Awards for Paperback/Advisor for “Liebeskummer ist ein Arschloch – Nie wieder fuckboys” in 2019 and the Act Comedy Awards Switzerland for German Comedian in 2018.
