School Boy allegedly shot Dead by a Landlord for entering His compound

A student identified as Paul, sadly passed away after being shot dead by a landlord as he attempted to retrieve a ball during a school football game competition in Owerri. Details about this incident are quite unfortunate.

Details About Paul Who Got Shot

Paul is a 19-year old student at Urban Secondary School, World Bank Housing area of Owerri. His father’s name is Jonathan Odikanwa.

Where Did Paul Died? 

This disturbing news was confirmed by Paul’s guardian, Mr. Jonathan Odikanwa, who asserted that the medical team at Specialist Hospital in Umuguma, Owerri, couldn’t sustain Paul’s life. After undergoing surgery, efforts were futile as Paul suddenly died in just 24 hours due to the gunshot wound. The incident happened on Monday.

How Was Paul Shot

Paul is a JSS 1 student at Urban Secondary School, World Bank Housing area of Owerri. As he jumped over the school’s fence to retrieve the football that was played over to the landlord’s property, he met his untimely gunshot.

According to the natives, the alleged murderer is the proprietor of Par Excellence School, a private school located in Area N, World Bank Housing Estate, Owerri, Imo State.

From an X-ray result, there was no bullet in Paul’s body, however doctors further found out that his bowel movements were blocked. Eventhough there was a surgery on him, Paul’s condition escalated, and eventually led to his death.

What Happened To Paul’s Alleged Murderer

According to local media reports in Nigeria, after shooting Paul, the landlord fired more gunshots periodically into the air, which showed that it was a deliberate action. He was arrested by operatives of the Imo State Police Command for allegedly attempting to murder a student.
