Ministers are politicians who are in charge of various ministries in a country. Ministers make and implement polices.

The ministry of education is to:

  • Provide and improve infrastructure facilities
  • Raise the quality of teaching and learning for effective outcomes

The ministry of health is to:

  • Provide ways for health care delivery services.
  • Monitor health care agencies
  • Set policies for the practice of Traditional and Alternative Medicine in the country.
  • Provide source of funding for health service delivery.
  • Allocate resources to all health care delivery agencies under the ministry.

Roles of Ministry of Finance

The ministry of Finance is to:

  • Coordinate and enforce financial sector policies and activities of regulators and other national stakeholders to facilitate the attainment of objectives of financial sector initiatives in line with government policies and social contract across industry.
  • Monitor and evaluate to ensure that government economic policy is supported by a smooth and well-functioning financial system.
  • Promote and facilitate the education, public awareness and financial inclusion and literacy of the public and capacity building of regulatory bodies in the financial sector.

Roles of Ministry of Defence

The ministry of Defence is to:

  • Initiate and formulate policies in relation to the operations of the Ghana Armed Forces.
  • Work in close collaboration with the National Security Council and the enable them function efficiently.
  • Facilitate the capacity building of its staff as well as those of the Ghana Armed Forces.
  • Collaborate with other security agencies to ensure the maintenance of law and order in the country.
