Early Life
Michela received her filmology degree from the Dams at the University of Roma Tre after studying acting for years at esteemed schools such as the Teatro Argentina in Rome. Her early dedication to the entertainment industry was evident when she enrolled in a TV screenplay course at Scuola Holden in Turin as part of her educational journey.
She started working with Gianni Boncompagni at a young age, doing popular variety shows like Domenica in (Rai 1) and Non è la Rai (Canale 5). This was when she first became involved in television. Career
Michela founded the comic team Gretel & Gretel in 1996 with Francesca Zanni. They appeared in several popular TV series, including Zelig – Facciamo cabaret (Italia 1) and Quelli que il calcio e… (Rai 2). Before splitting up in 2002, the pair also presented several radio shows, including WWW Punto G (RDS) and two seasons of the show Bigodini (Italia 1).
Michela carried on with her solo humorous acting career following her split, appearing in TV series such as Colorado (Italia 1). Her co-hosting of the daily radio show Brave Ragazze on Rai Radio 2 with Federica Gentile from 2009 to 2012 was another noteworthy phase of her career.
Her skill is also evident on the big screen, as she has acted in several popular TV dramas, including Distretto di Polizia (Canale 5), La Squadra (Rai 3), 7 Vote (Rai 2), Il Commissario Manara (Rai 1), and Rimbocchiamoci le maniche (Canale 5).
Angelo Longoni, Federico Moccia, and Gigi Proietti were among the well-known theatrical directors with whom Michela Andreozzi collaborated. Since 2010, she has been composing and performing one-woman shows in addition to acting. Some of these plays include A Letto Dopo Carosello, L’amore al Tempo delle Mele, and Maledetto Peter Pan, a French play in which she portrayed every role. Figlie di Eva, in which she co-performed with Vittoria Belvedere and Maria Grazia Cucinotta, was among the works she signed as a director and playwright.
Michela began her acting career in Rocco Papaleo’s Basilicata Coast to Coast. She went on to star in several popular comedies, collaborating with filmmakers such as Carlo Vanzina, Fausto Brizzi, Leonardo Pieraccioni, Paolo Genovese, and Massimiliano Bruno.
Apart from her prominent acting career, Michela Andreozzi is a notable screenwriter who has penned hit comedies including Compromessi Sposi, Pane e Burlesque, and Sconnessi.
In 2022, Michela adapted Fabio Volo’s book Una gran voglia di vivere, directing the film starring Fabio Volo and Vittoria Puccini. In 2023, she returns to the set to direct the film Pensati Sexy, based on Daniela Delle Foglie’s novel La felicità delle suore, starring Diana Del Bufalo.
