However, anyone who wants to become a lawyer in Ghana should first take note that, it takes a duration of three to four years to obtain a first degree from any of the accredited or recognized law schools in Ghana.

How To Become A Lawyer In Ghana
After a Law Student has obtained his or her first degree (LLB), he/she may further to gain an admission into any of the accredited law schools to study for a law degree, post LLB which takes a duration of about two years in most cases.
Subsequently, LLB graduates are expected sit for an entrance exams that is conducted by The General Legal Council (GLC) and, students who will pass, will be able to gain admission to study the Professional Law Course at the Ghana School Of Law for a duration of two years.

1. Wisconsin International University College Faculty Of Law
A. Ghanaian Students
Freshers will pay an amount of GH¢ 4,535.00 but an initial amount of Gh¢ 3,401.25 can be paid. Again, continuing students will pay an amount of GH¢ 4,410.00 however, an initial amount of GH¢ 2,205.00 can be paid.
B. International/Foreign Students
Freshers will pay an amount of US$ 3,687.00 however, an initial amount of US$ 2,765.25 can be paid. Again, continuing students will pay an amount of US$ 3,632.00 however, an initial amount of US$ 1,816.00 be paid.

2. University of Ghana School Of Law
University of Ghana is one of the oldest law schools in Ghana.

3. UPSA Bachelor Of Law LLB
A. Ghanaian Students: Ghanaian applicants are expected to pay an amount of GH¢ 5,376.00 for a 4-Year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) annually. However, an initial amount of GH¢ 2,688.00 can be paid. Again, for a 3-Year Post 1st Degree Bachelor of Laws (LLB), students are expected to pay an amount of GH¢ 10,206.00 annually however, an initial amount of GH¢ 5,103.00 can be paid.
B. International Students: Foreign or International applicants are expected to pay an amount of US$ 4,000.00 for a 4-Year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) annually. However, an initial amount of US$ 2,000.00 can be paid. Again, for a 3-Year Post 1st Degree Bachelor of Laws (LLB), students are expected to pay an amount of US$ 5,000.00 annually however, an initial amount of US$ 2,500.00 can be paid.

4. Mountcrest University College Faculty Of Law
An estimated amount of GH¢10, 200 is expected to be paid by anyone who wants to study a 4-Year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at The Mountcrest University College Faculty Of Law. This is an estimated amount, the actual amount might vary slightly.
5. Gimpa Faculty OF Law
A. Undergraduate – Continuing Ghanaian Students
Category(1)- Day Students: Students in Level 200 (LLB) will pay an amount of GH¢ 5,790. Those in Level 300 and 400(LLB) will also pay an amount of GH¢ 5,290.
Category(2)- Evening Students: Students in Level 200 will pay an amount of GH¢ 7,165 and those in Level 300 and 400 will also pay an amount of GH¢ 6,540.
B. Undergraduate – Continuing Foreign Students ( Day)
At Level 200 (LLB-Day), students will pay an amount of US$ 2,510 and then, those in Level 300 and 400 will also pay an amount of US$ 2,285.

6. University Of Cape Coast Faculty Of Law

9. Zenith University College Faculty Of Law

Ghana School Of Law is the only law school accredited to undertake professional law programme in Ghana. For this reason, only post LLB graduates who will pass their entrance exams organized by the GLC will gain admission into the institution.
Ghana School Of Law Fees
Students are expected to pay an amount of GH$ 13,200 however, the fees can be paid in installments. First installment (acceptance of admission) is GH¢ 8,200.00. Again, second installment (to be paid before first term) is GH¢ 3,000.00. Lastly, third installment (to be paid before second term) is GH ¢ 2,000.00.
