Keith Richards can be described as an English musician, songwriter, singer and recording producer. Keith Richards was born on December 18, 1943, and he is noted to be an original member, guitarist, secondary vocalist, and co-principal songwriter of the Rolling Stones.

It must be noted that his songwriting partnership with the band’s lead vocalist Mick Jagger is one of the most successful in history. It must be noted that the career of Keith Richards as an English musician, songwriter, singer and recording producer spans over six decades.

Quite unfortunately, he became known for his involvement in romantic affairs and his illicit drug use and as such, he was branded a countercultural figure. Keith Richards was raised in Dartford, Kent and with respect to education, he had studies at Dartford Technical School and Sidcup Art College.

Keith Richards joined the Rolling Stones after befriending the likes of Jagger, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, and Brian Jones. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and in 2014, he was also inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame with the Rolling Stones.

Fourteen songs that Richards wrote with Jagger were listed by Rolling Stone magazine on its “500 Greatest Songs of All Time” list. Keith Richards was the only child of his parents ; Doris Maud Lydia (née Dupree) and Herbert William Richards.

It must be noted that his father, Herbert William Richards was a factory worker. He got wounded in the Second World War during the Normandy invasion. Keith Richards also attended Wentworth Primary School with Mick Jagger.

While he was at Dartford Technical High School for Boys, due to illness, he never sat the eleven-plus . Subsequently, Keith Richards was sacked from Dartford Tech for truancy. He was transferred to Sidcup Art College, and that is where he met Dick Taylor. Keith Richards left Sidcup Art College so he could focus on music.

Keith Richards has a son called Marlon Leon Sundeep and and a daughter, Angela with Italian-born actress Anita Pallenberg. Their third child is a son named Tara Jo Jo Gunne.

Keith Richard also has  two daughters, Theodora Dupree and Alexandra Nicole, born in 1985 and 1986, respectively.

Their mother is model Patti Hansen.
