Who Was Kate Barry?
Kate Barry, born on April 8, 1967, in London, England, was a renowned British fashion photographer who made a name for herself with her captivating and intimate photographs of famous personalities.
She was the daughter of Anglo-French actress and singer Jane Birkin and composer John Barry, best known for his work in the James Bond franchise.
Barry’s upbringing was unique in that she was reared by her mother and her partner, famed musician Serge Gainsbourg, after moving from England to France at a young age.
Despite the fact that her parents divorced in 1980, she stayed separated from her birth father until much later in life. Barry came from an interesting family, with her maternal grandmother, Judy Campbell, an actress, and her uncle, Andrew Birkin, a director.
