John Francis Bongiovi Jr., known professionally as Jon Bon Jovi, was born on March 2, 1962, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
He is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor from the United States. Bon Jovi is best known as the founder and leader of the 1980s rock band Bon Jovi. He has recorded 15 studio albums with his band, as well as two solo albums, during the course of his career.
In the 1990s, Bon Jovi began acting in addition to his music career. He starred in Moonlight and Valentino, as well as The Leading Man, Little City, Homegrown, Pay It Forward, U-571, and Cry Wolf. He has appeared on television shows such as Sex and the City, 30 Rock, Ally McBeal, and The West Wing.
