James Hunt was a British racing driver who was born on August 29, 1947. It must be noted that James Hunt won the Formula One World Championship in 1976. The career of James Hunt as a racing driver started in touring car racing before hit progressed into Formula Three.
While at Formula 3, James Hunt caught the attention of the Hesketh Racing team. He had the nickname “Hunt the Shunt” (shunt, as a British motor-racing term, means “crash”) due to his often reckless and action-packed exploits on the track. James Hunt got the chance to be part of Formula One in 1973 and he drove a March 731 entered by the Hesketh Racing team.
He won for Hesketh, driving their own Hesketh 308 car in both World Championship and non-championship races. Subsequently, he joined the McLaren team at the end of 1975. While with the McLaren team, he won the 1976 World Drivers’ Championship and after two years, he moved to the Wolf team in early 1979.
He retired from racing in 1979 and took up the job as a motor racing commentator for the BBC as well as a businessman
James Hunt Cause of Death
James Hunt in the morning of June 15, 1993. He was 45 years old at the time of his death. He died as a result of a heart attack at his home in Wimbledon. The pallbearers at his funeral included his father Wallis, his brothers Tim, Peter and David, and his friend Anthony ‘Bubbles’ Horsley. James Hunt was cremated at the Putney Vale Crematorium.

James Hunt was born in Belmont, Surrey, and his parents were Wallis Glynn Gunthorpe Hunt (1922–2001), a stockbroker, and Susan (Sue) Noel Wentworth (née Davis) Hunt. James Hunt had an elder sister and three young brothers; Sally, Peter, Timothy and David.
He also had a younger sister, Georgina.James Hunt’s family lived in a flat in Cheam, Surrey, but later moved to Sutton when he was 11 years old. He had his education at the Westerleigh Preparatory School, St Leonards-on-Sea Sussex and later Wellington College
Marriage
James Hunt had a relationship with Taormina Rieck from the age of 15. Unfortunately, they separated in May 1971. James Hunt met his wife Suzy Miller, in 1974 in Spain and they got married on October 18, 1974, at the Brompton Oratory in Knightsbridge.
Suzy Miller left James Hunt for the actor Richard Burton at the end of 1975. James Hunt got married again on December 17, 1983, to Sarah Lomax. They had two children; Tom and Freddie. James Hunt and Sarah Lomax separated in October 1988 and had their divorce in November 1989 due to adultery on the part of James Hunt.
