Who Was Jacklyn Zeman? 

Jacklyn Zeman was a well known American actress known widely for her longstanding role in the ABC soap opera ‘General Hospital’ as Bobbie Spencer for 45 years. She was born in Englewood, New Jersey on March 6, 1953 to Richard S. Zeman and Rita Zeman-Rohlman. However, she was raised in Bergenfield, New Jersey where she attended high school.

Zeman was a bright student while growing up and was able to juggle between taking ballet lessons and her education without one interfering with the other. She graduated from Bergenfield High School at the age of 15 and continued to New York University on scholarship to study dance.

She was a Playboy Bunny at the Playboy Club in 1972. However, her acting career started in 1974 thereabout playing minor roles in a number of films and series. Her breakthrough role eventually came in 1977 where she was cast as Barbara “Bobbie” Spencer on the ABC soap opera, ‘General Hospital.’

At the time, she had no idea she was going to be on the show till her death. Right from 1977, Zeman appeared regularly on General Hospital till 2010. During this time, her performances earned her three Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series nominations in 1981, 1995 and 1997. She also received a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series nomination in 1998.

She returned on 2013 and continued to appear on General Hospital from time to time until she died on May 10, 2023. But away from General Hospital, Zeman is also known for her role in Misguided (2017-2019) as Mo, The Bay (2010-2023) as Sofia Madison, Chicago Hope (1994) as Soap Nurse, etc.

When it comes to her personal life, Zeman’s married life was not as stable as her time on General Hospital. She was married three times through which she had her children.

Her beautiful daughters are products of her third marriage to Glenn Gorden whom she married in February 14, 1988 through to June 2007.

Cassidy Zee Gorden is her eldest daughter, born on September 16, 1990 to the actress and her third husband, Glenn Gorden. She lives in Malibu, California but aside that we do not have any further information about her due to how personal she likes to keep things.
