Who Is Barbara Weinzierl?
Barbara Weinzierl was born on April 1, 1959, in Klagenfurt, Carinthia. She was exposed to the acting industry at a young age because her father, Kurt Weinzierl, was an actor.
She went around Austria and Germany as a result of her father’s shifting performing roles before settling in Munich.
Weinzierl’s father and encounter with actress Therese Giehse had a significant impact on her love of theatre. She made her debut at the Luisenburg Festival in Wunsiedel at the age of 15.
Along with enrolling in acting classes, she also joined a group directed by Kelle Riedl, who at the time oversaw the off-off theatre in Munich/Schwabing. Along this route, Weinzierl performed pantomime and street theatre in numerous European metropolises.
With Ottfried Fischer, Günther Knoll, Manfred Krause, and Wolfgang Sell, Weinzierl co-founded the cabaret troupe “Macht Schattengewächse” when he was just 19 years old.
Under the leadership of Günther Knoll, this group later established the Hinterhoftheater in Munich. In a number of sketch shows, Weinzierl appeared alongside well-known actors like Eddi Arent, Jochen Busse, and Dieter Hildebrandt.
Weinzierl has performed throughout the years at a number of state theatres, travelling productions, and outdoor stages around Germany, including the Tiroler Volksschauspiele in Telfs and the Luisenburg Festival in Wunsiedel.
Additionally, she made appearances in “Austret,” “Kolp,” and other films and TV shows.
With her own theatre plays, Weinzierl began touring the German-speaking globe in 2005.

You Austria,” and the drama “Between Landing – Love, Death, and Infidelity.” In 2016 and 2019, respectively, she continued with “Sex, Money, and Enlightenment – Part II” and “3.0”.
Weinzierl offers presentation coaching and lecture coaching in addition to her acting and cabaret careers. She also directs aspiring actors and cabaret performers for their own theatre productions.
She devised a creative-improv-act-play programme that includes aspects of improvisational theatre, role-playing, traditional acting, creativity approaches, intuition promotion, and personality training, and she teaches it to amateurs and amateur actors as a creative coach.
“We have to talk! Sex, money, and enlightenment 3.0” in 2019, “We have to talk! Sex, Money, and Enlightenment – Part II” in 2016, and “We have to talk! Sex, Money, and Enlightenment – Part I” in 2014 are a few of Weinzierl’s original productions.
Additionally, she has participated in plays and films like “The Old Man – Murder According to Plan” and “Bolero.”
